Easy Drip Acclimation Kit
All live animals should be drip acclimated after shipping so that they aren’t shocked when they enter your tank. This kit features a homemade drip acclimation kit. And I won’t lie, the kit is a few feet of airline tubing, a suction cup to hold the tubing in the tank, and a valve to adjust the drip rate. You don’t need anything fancy, so we price it to be cheap so anyone can drip acclimate their livestock.
This kit includes about 6 feet of airline tubing (cut into about 5ft and 1ft portions) connected by a valve, and a suction cup.
To use, you’ll simply stick the suction cup inside of any tank you wish to acclimate new fish to (Rimmed or Rimless), and make sure the airline tubing is attached to the suction cup and the tip is submerged. Then simply open the valve, clean the end off, suck on it a little bit with your mouth to start a siphon, and adjust the valve so that it only drips once per second or so. Once it is dripping, set it up so that it drips into a bowl or something else that holds your new animals for about 30 minutes, then add them to your tank.
